Galilee Labyrinth

What is a Labyrinth?

A labyrinth is a spiral-designed footpath that offers people who walk it an opportunity for prayer, meditation, and simply being with God.

A labyrinth always leads to a center, with no false starts or dead ends - it is NOT a maze.  The spiral design consists of equal quarter patterns - it is NOT a series of circles.

The labyrinth concept is an ancient symbol which the church used in the Middle Ages to help people make symbolic journeys of faith.  The church today is rediscovering and reclaiming this special spiritual tool.

You may wish to walk a labyrinth to calm the mind in preparation for worship.

Galilee Community Center

The Galilee Community Center is available for special meetings and gatherings.  A donation for use is accepted.

The following groups regularly meet at the Galilee Community Center:

AA, Kidz 4 Broadway, Intergroup, Girl Scouts,
Clear Lake Performing Arts Auxiliary, Sunday Church School, Men's & Women's 4th Day Cursillo,

• Vikings of Lake Lodge #6-166, Sons of Norway
• Emergency food and blankets are available
• Lake County Health Services Disaster Emergency Shelter

Members of Galilee support many community projects including Hospice, The Free Kitchen Project, Habitat for Humanity, Hospital Chaplaincy, Toys for Tots, World Hunger, Lutheran World Relief, and more.
